We are using V7 of Joomla Bible Study which works fine.

The problem is whenever the Download icon is selected to download the media file, MP3, the screen refreshes but nothing happens. The media file plays ok so the the link works. What could be the problem

I bet you are using 7.0.0 (judging by the download icon). If so, upgrade to 7.0.1 as there was a problem with the download function in 7.0.0

If not, submit a support ticket or PM me with a user/pass for the admin side of your site and I'll take a look.

Me again !

Our site with the latest version 7.0.1.1 will not link to any of our PDF's won't download audio files but plays them. I've tried Firefox 8 and IE8, IE8 when I want to play a media file only down loads it!

Any suggestions?

You'll need to set a filesize for the download to work.

As for the link to the details view - something is going on with your SEF.

You might try the new router - not sure it will solve your problem but worth a try. Rename the attached file to router.php and put in the root of the site under /components/com_biblestudy

Thanks for your reply.

The issue was resolved by switching Compatibility Mode to Off but ...
whenever I create a new study and link the text to the relevant PDF file then save the study the link doesn't appear when selected. Links created in other areas of the site work ok.

Any ideas?

Also what is the SEF and what do I do about it?

What's your site url again? Can you post it here? (be sure to use the link button above)

The router is used to interpret the SEF links so that the component can understand them. It is one of the weakest areas of Joomla. We made some changes so hopefully the id can be properly identified. The has a php extension, so rename the file and put it in the com_biblestudy site root. It will replace the file that is there.

The new router will be part of JBS 7.0.2
