Hello,

for better understanding heres the link to the main biblestudy of our church:

cgpb.de/mediathek.html

In the filter you can see "Vortragsreihe". That means: "series".

Two of them "180 Grad Gottesdienst" and "OASE" have its own website. But all use the same joomla! and same biblestudy component.

For examle look at the biblestudy of OASE: cgpb.de/videos.html

OASE shows the biblestudy template "OASE" which only shows the series "OASE".

The problem is: If i use the filter on the mainsite, it also change the filter on the other sites. Is it possible to set the filter just for its own site? Maybe in the template options?

I'm not totally clear on your issue - probably a language problem!

Have you tried copying your Biblestudy Template under that tab to a new template then changing the settings there? Menu items for Biblestudy cause you to choose a template - so you could choose template2, for instance, for your sub sites.

I'm not sure I follow when you say "If i use the filter on the mainsite, it also change the filter on the other sites"

Hi Tom, thx for your answer.

I use for all three biblestudysites a different template.

If i use the filter on the main site, for example the "series" "Biblische Seelsorge" it show all studies from "Biblische Seelsorge".
If i go now to the biblestudy on the site "OASE", it show nothing because in the template options of "OASE" i disabled all studies except the series "OASE".

I hope that was clear

So what happens if I select "Biblische Seelsorge" on the main site, then go to the OASE site and hit refresh, on the studies under the series "Biblische Seelsorge" show up.

So I think what's happening is that filter_series in the $_GET variable is being set. They seem like different sites, though.

I can't really diagnose because you are using SEF.

You might try an experiment of adding the id of the series with the following &filter_series=1 (or whatever the id is) to the OASE site. So use a full url (turn off SEF temporarily to see it). You might be able to create a custom url and add t=2 (or whatever your templatemenuid is for the template on the OASE site and &filter_series= and see if that helps.

Hi Tom,

thats the way how it works!

But the problem with that solution is, i need to put the link to the biblestudy as an "external link", so it dont show SEF and the button to the studies isnt active. :-/

-------

Ok... just before i posted the text above i solved my problem.

I really need to say sorry for stealing your time Tom!
Its to simple. My "Menu Item Type" was set to "Studies List Layout". I thought it would be enough to choose the right template. I set it to "Single Series Layout" and it works fine now.

Thx for your help! You guys are great supporters!

Ah yes - should have thought of that since you are simply trying to show one series.

We tried to make the component as workable as possible with multiple churches but it isn't always that smooth

Glad to help - and very glad you found solution!

If you ever get the chance - put a favorable word for us on the Joomla Extensions site - so others can see the value of this little extension.

Blessings,

Tom
