Here's my issue...

Most of my file names have spaces in the name. Since most of my files are at least 50M, I upload them to my webserver into the correct directory via FTP. I then go and create the study and then assign the study to the media file. When editing the media file, I enter the file name exactly as it is (with the spaces). After saving my changes, I notice in my file name, the spaces have been replaced with underscores. Therefore, my media does not play since the file name is incorrect. What must I do to get the spaces to display correctly?

It was working fine yesterday morning, so I'm not for sure what's changed or what I'm doing wrong. I tried upgrading to 6.1.1 RC 1, but that didn't help.

Thanks,
Jason

Hi Jason, with version 6.1.x we added a routine to remove spaces in filenames along with other bad characters. Some browsers choke on them.

But you can turn this off in the Administration tab of com_biblestudy.

Look for:

Filter characters in filename drop down box. Choose "Don't Filter"

Blessings,

Thanks Tom!

That did the trick.
