Thanks for the pointer on how to add new media images etc. and for the suggestions ref PPT. The problem with PPT's "Save as HTML" is that it works OK-ish in IE but not in other browsers.
I have found I can use iSpring to convert PPT to flash and maybe that is the best option - or for simpler PPTs maybe save as PDF will work OK. So I assume for that I will just need to add a new image for PDF in the media images and that will work fine (and there's a PDF icon already available!).

This one shows a PPT converted to flash, but the audio remains as a separate media file - the disadvanteb is the user has to scroll through the PPT in tme to the talk!
