I've been unsuccessful in finding any documentation that discusses a path from 6.0 to 6.1 as an upgrade. I'm assuming because of the significant changes that I can't simply install 6.1 over the top of 6.0? We have done quite a bit of work getting our sermons online and I'd hate to have to go through and do it all again (speakers, topics, scriptures, descriptions, etc). Can someone give me some idea on what is involved in migrating to the new version and not losing the exisiting database? Thanks.

I guess there is no documentation because it is so simple! Just install 6.1 right over the top of 6.0. The upgrade to the database is built in to the installation routine. You don't have to uninstall 6.0 or anything.

That having been said, I think it is a good practice to backup the datatables prior to upgrading anything - the tables in this case all begin with bsms, so jos_bsms_books for instance.

But - I've installed this version over the top of 6.0 numerous times with no problems on the dataside. Really all that's happening is that tables are added and fields added- there are no adjustments in the upgrade to your data.
