Front End Study "Add a Study" page editor too wide 27 Oct 2009 14:37 #1248

When I go to the front end study editor the page is too wide for my template. The save button is off the page. It can be accessed by tabbing through but doesn't show up otherwise.

I'm using the JCE editor (if that matters). It fits in other areas from the front end.

I've not been able to locate the css that controls its width. Webdeveloper shows it as class=adminform

Any suggestions would be apprecitated.

Thanks

I did some work on these templates for version 6.1.00_RC4. You might try to install those over the top of your existing 6.1. Let me know if it works better for you.

Thanks. I'm not sure which files to add. I downloaded rc4 to my local computer and upzipped it. I browsed through the files and found some css files and some template files but not sure if those are what need to be added.

You should reinstall - there are a number of changes to the database and files added, etc. You can simply install right over the top of your previous installation - it won't change your existing database tables.

Thanks so much for your prompt replies. I appreciate it!

I reinstalled with rc4:

Front end Add a Study save and cancel buttons now visible. The whole page is still wide, but at least all the controls are visible.

Still getting fatal error on upload media on front end: Fatal error: Undefined class name 'jpane' in / ... /com_biblestudy/views/mediafilesedit/tmpl/form.php on line 38 still shows up on the upload media file

Also, the text box in the form "Secondary References:" seems to be very long. It extends off the page.

Thanks for the updates. They have helped.

I think I found the error in the code. I changed jimport('joomla.pane.html') to jimport('joomla.html.pane');

I also shortened the comment field.

Rename the attached file to: form.php and place in this folder:

/components/com_biblestudy/views/mediafileedit/tmpl - replacing the file that is in there.

Let me know if that works for you.
