Can you recommend a recorder software that I can use to create the pod cast mp3 to link to the sermon

We record using a CD recorder and also record using Audacity (a free program) on a computer as backup. We then us CDEX to change the CD to an mp3 at 32kps. A 40 minute teaching turns into about a 9 meg file.
