I was able to translate all content items using joomfish but I wasn't able to translate (1) The text in the filters ex. - Select a Series - (2) The labels and the title in the landing page. Can you please help?

Anton coordinates our translations at this point and I know we have COMPLETELY redone them for version 7.0. Not sure if he wants to do this work on any of the 6.2.x versions.

While I am at it I would like to ask you one more question. We are working at importing the bible in Amharic language to MYSQL and eventually what we would like to do is to show the scripture references in Amharic just the way they are shown in study details page only this time the language changes from English to Amharic when the user switches the joomfish language button? Can you give us some directions on how to achieve that? (we are trying to learn php and mysql along the way).

hi Awot,

In 7.0 the scripture references will be translatable thanks to Anton's work. You won't have to translate them in the db, only in your .ini files. So the translation will be automatic when the user changes languages, provided the proper .ini file is in place.

I guess, you 1) use 6.2.x version and 3) use the translation files in the Donwalods -> resources site (www.joomlabiblestudy.org/downloads/category/2-resources.html). This files are intended to be for 6.2.x but they are not up to date. (As far as I remember, Tom tried to link the up to date files, but got broken links by the download module

Please use the english language files in the zip file of the component:
For site use \site\languages\en-GB.com_biblestudy.ini
For admin use \admin\languages\en-GB.com_biblestudy.ini
For admin menue use \admin\languages\en-GB.com_biblestudy.menu.ini

For version 7.0, language files are still under development.

Hi Tom,
sorry, the way I wrote my question was not what I intended to ask. So let me rephrase it. What I wanted to ask is not only how to translate the scripture references but also the scripture text shown in the details page to Amharic. For that I will need the bible in Amharic, right? Now my idea is when I switch the language to Amharic using the joomfish language button, the whole thing in the study details page including the scripture text changes to Amharic.
