Some users detected, that Bible books, the terms 'Adcending' and 'Descending' and other phrases are not translated to the language needed.
It turned out, that the database was not imported from BibleStudy 6.2.x to BibleStudy 7.0.x, but used directly and patched to the needs of BibleStudy 7.0.x. This gives a mix of the database versions and may be critical during future upgrades. A side effect is the missing translation of several phrases.

Please do not use the database of BibleStudy 6.2.x directly, but use the JBS Migration Component to adapt the database. You will find a short manual here in the forum.

I too have the problem that books are not translating but this could be something else as I started with JBS 7. I have the list of book names as in the database with underscores and this problem is present only in the backend. The language files are utf-8 encoded and none of the translation entries are empty. Any ideas?

can you please debug the language by enabling in the backend: site -> global configuration -> debug language -> yes and debug system -> yes
Below the normal content of the frontend and backend you see additional information such as database queries and a section 'Parsing errors in language files'.
Can you see any error message in the backend?

Hi Anton,
I enabled the debug mode and there was only 2 errors (with the ""/"" string) that I corrected so that now there are no errors but the books are listed still with database names.
