I just answered my last question by something I found on the forum. My link at the bottom of the module somehow uses the first link for more sermons in the MainMenu. When I deleted the mainmenu link that wasnt' functioning correctly, the next link provided an override for how the Bible studies information will appear in the content pane.

The next version of biblestudy (either 6.0.12 or we may now call it 6.1.00) will use a slightly different method to return to the listing page, or go the listing page from a module. Instead of it picking the first menu item from the list, you as a user will tell the module/component which Itemid to use. This is for styling purposes, so that all your parameters and settings will be applied to that view.
