I seem to be having another problem. I cannot seem to add more than 1 podcast to the xml. I can update one podcast and it will show up, then I add another and it takes the place of the previous one instead of adding itself to the list.

How do I take care of this issue?

In the admin side of biblestudy, go to the podcasts link and click "New." That should add a new podcast to your list. When you then associate media files to that podcast then you can create an xml file for that podcast. Each podcast should create a separate xml file. You create the xml by either clicking that icon when you edit an existing podcast, or by enabling the podcast plugin (a separate biblestudy plugin available on our JoomlaCode site)

I'm sorry, it was my understanding that the same xml is used (up to a certain amount of your choice). Others on the board have given examples of this having multiple podcasts on only one xml file.

So each time I add a single podcast, I have to create a newly named xml?

I also wanted to ask, with the release of 6.00.11, do I need to uninstall my previous version first?

Nevermind, I answered this question myself.

tmfuller, you didn't reply to my question and it has been over 3 weeks now.

When I add more podcasts to the list, do I have to create a newly named xml for each teaching?

When you add a podcast, then you add teachings to that podcast.

audiopodcast1.xml will include teaching1.mp3, teaching2.mp3, teaching3.mp3 (you add them to the podcast in the media file record)

If you create another podcast it might be videopodcast1.xml and have teaching1.wmv, teaching2.wmv, teaching3.wmv.

it's up to you about how you want to structure them, but we have only two xml files - two podcasts - but numerous teachings connected to each one of them. It's a good idea to have few podcasts because people have to subscribe to them and you want to make it easy and simple. If they keep having to resubscribe to new podcasts you might lose listeners.

Does this help you?
