First of all big thanks for this component!
I´ve created a Czech translation of the component but have a problem with the encoding of the "select by book" dropdown list in the front end. The Czech characters in the names of the Bible books in this box (and, strangely, just in this one!) are not appearing correctly. Any help on where to change the encoding of just this part of the component?
Here´s the screenshot:

Thanks in advance!

What encoding is your site using? Usually "utf-8" should render most characters corectly. If you have a link to share I can look and check for you.

The whole site is utf-8. As I said, it is strange that the thing happens only in this one select dropdown. Can it be that some component file is not saved as utf-8?
The link to the unfinished working site is: testsceav.mladezsceav.savana.cz. Bible study is under Media tab on the main page. Use guest as temporary login/psw.
Thanks in advance!

Take a look at our website (grbcatlanta.com/en/resources/sermons.html)

under "teachers" you will find some Romanian characters that seem to have rendered correctly.

What is the language of your site?

How are you inputing your foreign characters?

My site is Czech. I also have a name under "teachers" that has an unusual letter (polish in that case) that actually should go wrong i think when the bible books are wrong, but it is ok. The same with "type of sermon" and "topic". They´re OK. They were inputed through the component.
The czech names of the Bible books had been simply translated in the czech language file (cs-CZ.com_biblestudy.ini in administrator/language). The file is saved as utf-8 but as I said, the "topic" dropdown (translated in the same way) shows the characters correctly but just the Bible books do not...
I suspect that it must be the question of the encoding of some other component file (the one that has to do with this specific dropdown select), just have no idea which.
Another idea that comes to my mind is that there are names of the Bible books in the backend of the component which I did not translate in full (just Genesis). But the same is true of the only topic I´ve changed in the backend: Sin = Hřích, which renders correctly... (to be honest, I was a little confused that the names of the topics and Bible books in the backend component did not translate once I translated them in the language file)
As for your page - I was not able to open it. It did not load.
Anyhow, THANK you for trying to help me!
Martin

One more important notice:
I just realized that when I click on Bible Books in the administration of Bible study where there are two input boxes described as:
- BOOK NAME (PLEASE DO NOT DELETE BIBLE BOOKS)
- BOOK NUMBER (NOT A GOOD IDEA TO CHANGE FOR BIBLE BOOKS)

the first one will not show translated into czech whereas the second does. Both are translated correctly in the admin/language/cs-CZ.com_biblestudy.ini file.
Maybe that´s another symptom of the problem?
