Are there any known install problems with Joomla 1.5.7? I'm testing Joomla on my local mac running MAMP. I was able to install the module, but when I try installing the component, after clicking "Upload File & Install", it just takes me to a blank screen.

Any suggestions?

you should install the component first. likely there is a database install problem. check to see if tables with the prefix jos_bsms were installed. you might also turn on a higher level of error reporting on your server to see if that sheds some light indtead of a blank page.

Got it figured out. I bumped up the error reporting and found I was getting this error...

joomla 1.5 Fatal error: allowed memory size.......

I went into the php.ini file and increased the allowed memory size from 8mb to 12mb, restarted MAMP and then it installed.
