TOPIC: Single Study Layout Menu Study Selection Question

Single Study Layout Menu Study Selection Question 05 Oct 2008 16:26 #287

We have many files that are not tied to a specific scripture passage. Additionally, the dates on the documents are unintuitive which means that I need to find the document in the Bible Study back to get the date, and then navigate into the Single Study Layout Select a Study pulldown. Is there a way to list file names in the Parameters (Basic) Select a Study? How do you find your studies. It looks like you have over 450 studies. How would you go about creating a link to one of yours?
Thank You,
Dan

Hi Dan - Bible Study was really designed to connect with studies on various Bible passages, that's why in the Single Study Layout you get the Scripture and the date as choices. What choices would you like to see? Perhaps this could be a parameter in a future release, you determine what fields are displayed in that drop down.

What do you think?

Dan - I realized I didn't really answer your question. What I'd do in your situation is use the front end search (using the plugin) or the drop down filter boxes to zero in on a list or the single study you want.

Then use the menu manager on the back end to create an internal url to that link by copying and pasting it from your browser.
