TOPIC: Struggling with "Error opening File"

Struggling with "Error opening File" 26 Aug 2008 09:14 #237

I'm having trouble with this error. I thought I had the files in the right place but perhaps not?

Not sure if I've given enough information but I'd appreciate some help.

The site isn't complete but the error can be seen at overton.sundayschooldesign.com

Thanks

Chris

The file that the media player is looking for is:

overton.sundayschooldesign.com/media/images/audio/17thaug08.mp3

Does this file exist? You can see what it's looking for by examing the source of your page.

When I type that url into my browser I get a file not found.

Take a look at how you have the servers/folders and then filename entered. You are building a url by these three things (or you can just put the whole thing into the filename field under mediafiles). The component adds the http:// if needed.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can help further.

Well, problem solved. I had to take out "media" in my url, as my file was just in images/audio.

Thanks for the fast reply - sometimes it needs a fresh look to spot the obvious.

Much appreciated.

No problem. Glad you can make use of the component to help spread the gospel!
