TOPIC: Flash player

Flash player 18 Aug 2008 12:20 #216

How do I integrate a different mp3 player, like the one seen here?

I actually tried to integrate an mp3 player like this one in the current version. I was unsuccessful only in that if you had all the files on your list page play through the player it loaded up a bunch of instances of the Flash player and slowed the browser down.

I was trying to figure out how to get the player instance only to trigger when someone clicked on the file, but in the end I opted to go ahead and release this version with just using the All Videos Reloaded player to connect to.

In a future version I hope to get some help in implementing and integrating a Flash mp3 player but for now there isn't a way to do that with com_biblestudy.

Well here is another I found

It looks like they are using the Bible Study component. I was wondering how they were able to get it to work? LOVE the component the way it is, just looking for some tweaks.

It almost seems like they must be using one of the earlier release candidates of com_biblestudy version 6.0.08. I suppose you might contact that site administrator and ask him or her. If they were successful with it on their site then I suppose it wouldn't be that hard to put back the functionality in com_biblestudy. It doesn't appear that they created custom code, but that's possible too.

You know, right, that with the current public version of com_biblestudy that if you install All Videos Reloaded version 1.2.4 or higher and turn the parameter on in com_biblestudy that the component will play all files in a popup window? It's very similar to using the Flash player, except that a popup window opens with the audio controls.

Right, that's what I've done. It's just that that player is nicer looking, but no problem, it suits my needs just like it is thanks!
