J: Sorry the delay in posting. We are experiencing some difficulties with this site and are trying to work them out.
Anyway - we've been hard at work on the component itself and have not had much time to work on documentation. That will soon change so bear with us and feel free to ask questions here or directly by email.
Basically - the information in the component are pointers. You are building a url. For servers, put in
www.yourserver.com. Then in the folders put in where you are putting your audio/video files like /mediafolder/ (notice the two slashes - they are important). Then when you add a media file to a study, you simply choose from the drop down the server and folder, then enter in the file name of the file you have uploaded like 1john19.mp3.
The component then builds the url in the listing pages to
www.yourserver.com/mediafolder/1john19.mp3.
If the component cannot be found then it didn't install properly. I notice that you are currently reinstalling Joomla.
You can put in your own server or an external one. We have several servers that we use. The component is not making servers it is merely pointing to ones you have, either the site where you have Joomla installed, or just a media server somewhere else - it doesn't matter except when you use the upcoming upload feature - for that you can only choose servers/folders that are where the Bible Study component is installed.
