TOPIC: Issues with Bible Study Import

Issues with Bible Study Import 19 May 2010 07:45 #2163

Components installed:
JBS 6.1.5
Bible Study Import

The server folder is set to /media.
I am trying to use the Bible Study Import to import 3 mp3 files stored in /media/sermons.

When I try to scan the folder, I get the following: ERROR: Could not open directory: /media/sermons.

I have also tried putting the mp3s in /sermons but get the same error.

The issue is I have ~250 sermons I want up load to a podcast. I have the mp3s tagged with speaker, title & date, so I'd really hate to have to reinput each one manually.

Any thoughts?

I contacted the author of that application (one of our partner developers) and asked Nick to respond. Hopefully he can be of assistance.

Josiah,

I am glad to hear that someone is using this.

It sounds like this isn't the full path to the sermons. Mine is something like /home/%site%/public_html/media/sermons
%site% often equals your username from the hosting company. An easy way to find this is from the Cpanel under stats it will show your home directory then add the /public_html/media/sermons

If you have any other problems let me know.

Presto Chango!!!!

It actually had /var/chroot/home/content/##/######/html filled in. All I had to do was add /media/sermons and it worked!

Now to actually figure out how to use it Looking over the field mapping, is there any way I can change what ID3 tags map to which fields?

I've been working today on upgrading the importer that Nick had started. It now allows id3 mappings, its not finished yet, however. But you can check out the progress on the SVN.

will this update allow the importer to be used with videos or would it be only with mp3 still?
