Could you say which version you're using? The best one to look at at the moment, if you're just looking, is the 6.2_beta1 version that we released at the weekend. It's not yet ready for use on a 'live' site, but should be ok for evaluating.. though there are a few bugs that we're looking to fix soon.
To answer your question, at the moment you can only display the ESV link in an expandable show/hide div. Seems like a good idea for a future release.. i'd have thought we could look at for 6.3.
In the meantime, have you seen the ScriptureLinks plugin for joomla? Have a look at the following.. it might help you out.
