TOPIC: Problem with Download MP3 files

Problem with Download MP3 files 17 Nov 2011 10:39 #2968

Hi, I notice that when you try to download a media file, the entire file does not get downloaded. Rather, what happens is that only the file name gets written to the downloaded location but the file itself does not. I am using the latest version. You may go here www.thegracelink.com click on sermons and then try and download the one mp3 file there and see what your experience is.

Do you have a length entered for this study? What's happening is that only the first part of the first word is downloaded as the mp3 file.

To be honest, I haven't seen this behavior before.

Are you using compatibility mode?

Can you add a length to the study in hours, minutes, seconds and try it again to see if it makes a difference? Then also try using compatibility mode - that's in the Admin tab of JBS. But I don't think that is the issue.

I have made the changes as you have requested but I am not sure that they have made a difference. You may test again for yourself

OK - turn off compatibility mode - that is erroring out for some reason.

This time make sure the file size is correct. I notice a length of 12332 which will be expressed in bytes, so that will be about 12k, which is the size of the file that downloads. You set the filesize in the media file record - you might want to use the filesize link and put in the size in MB in that window and have it translate it into bytes.
