TOPIC: Podcast doesn't pick up files

Podcast doesn't pick up files 14 Jul 2011 21:23 #2677

In the podcast section it seems to write the xml file ok but if I go in and check the podcast it lists the media as index.php and not the media file, any thoughts. I am new to joomla so it is possible that it's something simple that I am not doing.

Here is the link to the podcast

Apparently Joomla 1.6 and 1.7 give a different response than 1.5 to an empty field - so this is a bug we needed to address.

please rename the attached file to .php and put in this folder: yoursite/components/com_biblestudy/helpers.writexml.php

Let me know - this worked in my test.

Tried the file but it is still doing the same. Also if you click on the title it takes you to mywebsite.com?

Thanks

Have you edited the podcast under the Podcasts tab? It sounds like the default entries have been left there. You need to create your own podcast with all of the info. If you want you can open a support ticket (link at bottom of page) and provide me with admin access to your site and I can take a look.

Hi Tom,

I have a similar problem, when I try to get one of the files from our podcast I get a network connection refused error.

Here's our xml file

You've entered an http:// somewhere that doesn't need to be there.

Here is one of the paths from your xml:
