TOPIC: Some bugs

Some bugs 07 May 2010 14:28 #2112

Hi all!
My best compliments for this splendid piece of software.
I am trying release 6.2 beta 1 and I want to contribute with a couple of bugs.

Administration panel - Studies Manager
-----------------------------------------------

1. The list of studies show infinite times the topics keywords

2. Editing an item, the section "Media Files for this Study" repeat every media files for every books occurrence ( This could be important... I have not inserted any number into the books Manager's number field; only titles)

3. Clicking on a nedia file to edit it, show the insert form, rather than the edit form.

Frontend Landing page
----------------------------

1. Every link into the frontend landing page points to the frontend landing page itself

2. At top of the page I have this: Warning: mysql_num_rows() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /web/htdocs/www.esonet.org/home/libraries/joomla/dat...e/database/mysql.php on line 344 Warning: mysql_num_rows() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /web/htdocs/www.esonet.org/home/libraries/joomla/dat...e/database/mysql.php on line 344 Warning: mysql_num_rows() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /web/htdocs/www.esonet.org/home/libraries/joomla/dat...e/database/mysql.php on line 344

That's all, for now

Thanks for the bug reports. We'll look at them - I can see already the mediafile editing is broken. We'll get that fixed and look at the other issues.

Not sure what you mean by the" infinite times the topics keywords"

I have fixed the bug with the media files edit. A newer version of the model was copied over the version for 6.2.0. We will update this in the next beta release.

If you'd like you can rename this file by removing the .txt extension and place in /administrator/components/com_biblestudy/models/

Took a look at the bug reports here.

1. On the list page I see only topics for which there are studies associated, with no duplicates.

2. I see only the media files associated with the study, no duplicates

3. Fixed problem with mediafilesedit

4. Landing Page - links work correctly

5. This may the root of your problem. A MySQL warning indicates a missing data element. Do you actually have studies entered? Do you have a link to your test site so we can take a look at the behavior happening?

Feel free to contact me directly so I can see what's going on in your site.

(tried to move this thread into the beta1 subfolder, but think i failed!)
anyway - i changed the landing page to fix various other bugs, and this will be reflected in the next beta/release candidate.

can you confirm that if you have some studies entered, then you don't get the errors?

thanks,
Rich
