Component 6.2.2 Release

Note: 6.2.2 has been fixed. You can download it and reinstall. If for some reason the new file doesn't over-write the old one, look on the Forum for a download link.

The Joomla Bible Study Team announces the availability of Component Version 6.2.2

New Feature - You can now filter the studieslist from the menu item parameters. This will take precedence over Template Display Settings. You can filter on the major items like teacher, book, location, topic, messagetype and series.

New Feature - The component will now try to look up the filesize of a media file and can add it to the field in the form. If the function cannot find the filesize this is not displayed.

New Feature - you can now use the legacy audio player that was available in versions 6.1 and earlier. In either the Template Display Settings under Media or in an individual media file you can choose Legacy Media Player. This will only work for mp3 files but there is no check on the media type so use at your own risk. Only width settings are optional.

New Feature - in the Administration screen (found off of the JBS Control Panel) allows you to choose two different methods of calculating popular studies on the front page. One method (default) calculates using Hits + Plays + Downloads. The alternate method only uses Plays + Downloads.

New Feature - Choose whether to always show the passage and/or Comments or to use the current Show/Hide link in the StudyDetails view.

Bug Fixes:

Some mysql databases choked on the lack of a GROUP BY clause in the studydetails model. This has been corrected.
