Overview
Bible Study is a Joomla!® 1.5 and 2.5 component written by a team of webservants to further the teaching of God's Word. The component displays information about your church's Bible Studies or sermons in a wide variety of ways. JBS is flexible, customizable, and powerful. Easy to configure templates give you the maximum amount of choices. Show only what you want in whatever way you want.
Embed YouTube videos, play audio, show study notes - even create your own html display pages. You can have multiple locations, series, podcasting, and sharing with social media sites. Please see the example pages for just some of what Bible Study can do for your church - and the best part is the component is completely free. Support is top notch, and also free. Bottom line: we want to help you spread the gospel.

Joomla Bible Study 8.0.0 Beta 1 Released
The Joomla Bible Study Team is pleased to announce the release of JBS 8.0.0 Beta 1. We invite users to try out this new version which is compatible with Joomla 1.7, 2.5, and 3.x.
This version should NOT be used on production servers and is for testing purposes only.
Please report bugs on GitHub at this link. You will have to sign up for GitHub, but it's free.

New iTunes Requirements
If you create a podcast it's important to pay attention to Apple's new iTunes requirements. I've cut and pasted them below:

New Cover Art Requirement
iTunes has been completely redesigned and there are new requirements for podcast cover art. To be eligible for featuring on iTunes Store, a podcast must have 1400 x 1400 pixel cover art in JPG or PNG format using RGB color space. The image URL must end in ".jpg", ".jpeg" or ".png" and the server hosting the image must allow HTTP HEAD requests. See our technical spec for details.
Server Configuration Requirement
Podcast streaming playback on iTunes requires all hosting servers to enable Byte Range Requests. Please confirm your hosting servers have this functionality enabled. If you work with a third-party hosting service, please contact them to confirm this functionality is enabled on their servers.
Joomla Bible Study 7.1.2 Released
JBS Version 7.1.2 is out. This is a scheduled bug fix release. This new version has a vastly improved migration from prior versions, customizable templates that you can create and share, and many other features and bug fixes. Please see the ChangeLog for more information. Download the package or its pieces in our Downloads section. You may also update your current installation if you are using Joomla 2.5. Just go to Extension Manager - Update and Find Updates. You may have to Purge the Cache then try it again.
We are continuing to work on a version compatible with Joomla 3.x. We expect to release this version in February or March 2013.
